Claros inTouch(previously known as Claros Webmail) is the Ajax communication suite for the Claros Project. Claros inTouch 2.0 beta1 is built upon the extended version of version 1.7 but its user interface is completely re-done. It is faster than ever and its 100% Ajax from now on!!! The first beta release is a limited version with only webmail features activated. As things getting stabler, other modules will also be activated.

New features for Claros inTouch 2.0 Beta1 is :

• It is a full Ajax software. (Web 2.0)
• Attachment upload mechanism similar to Gmail and Yahoomail. It means you can continue composing your e-mail while your attachment is uploading.
• Drag and drop mechanism.
• Compatibility with all known IMAP/Pop3 and SMTP servers. All known bugs concerning the IMAP protocol is fixed.
• Really fast user interface and less system requirements than 1.x on the server side. Enterprise ready
• Multi-language support. Turkish and English are ready out of the box

Please Note: Claros inTouch(CiT) 2.0 is not a finished product, it still doesn't cover all the features 1.x offering. So if you are asking for a brand new, fast and a stable webmail client consider version 2.0. But if you are asking for a webmail client with calendar, address book support you can continue using version 1.7. CiT wil be offering a lot more features in a time, including real-time IM chat with Google, MSN users.

Claros Chat is finally ready. It is a web based(fully Ajax) instant messaging client which is capable of talking with the Jabber protocol. Claros Chat is well tested with Google Talk and it supports all major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Mozilla. It has a minimalistic and an elegant user interface which looks much like a desktop application. Anyone interested in the application can test drive it at http://www.claros.org/chat.

Postaci Webmail is a PHP webmail, with many advanced features like being multi-langual, multi-platform, multi-protocol, database independent and so on... It's been around since 1998 and it's been used by many companies and individuals. Version 2.0.1 is a minor enhancement released by Pete Larsen (current maintainer of Postaci Webmail). List of changes :

• SMTP Authentication - for those of you who need to authenticate to send email
• Email Address field in Preferences - allows you to manually set your from email address
• Fixed problem in moving messages when using imap

Claros Anonymity is a proxy like application which shields your IP address, and protects you from online tracking, SPAM harvesting, hackers and snoops. It also let's you bypass any URL based corporate firewall and lets you freely surf the net. Take a look at it's features at the products page.

1.5 is a major bugfix release. It fixes most of the known bugs. It also has brand new, modern look and design. It is a more usable product now.

This release is the first step before the major release 2.0. Claros In Touch already supported the folders mechanism and read/unread controls for the Pop3 protocol which are missing by the protocol itself, and now, IMAP is also a supported protocol as of release 1.7. In this release many usability enhancements are made, which you will notice shortly when you log in. The list of changes are:

• IMAP Support added
• Added a RSS Reader marquee
• Added a quick launch menu.
• Some user interface enhancements in terms of usability.
• Fixed the spam checking problem at the headless servers.
• Fixed the issue with the DB systems that do not accept uncommitted read.
• Added Oracle DB support (experimental)
• Some minor bugfixes.

This release includes mainly enhancements to the address book as well as some bug fixes for the webmail module.

• Added import and export facility for the address book.
• Added the ability to create groups in the address book.
• Users can now send e-mail to groups.
• Quick access to contacts tool at compose screen also searches for groups.
• MySQL 4.1.x compatibility issues and all other known bugs fixed.

This version at last provides full support for all popular Browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Opera, Safari and so on. A full list of new features and changes are as follows:

• Partial message sending support. Even if some recipients are invalid or not capable to receive e-mail, Claros is able to deliver the e-mail to the valid ones and generates a report for those whose it is not able to deliver the e-mail.
• Can send e-mail to nicknames defined at the address book. You can just type the nickname in any of the to,cc, bcc fields.
• Ajax search at the "new message" screen also makes a lookup at nicknames.
• All popular browsers are suppported.
• Added a preference, to not to perform spam analysis to the users at the address book and deliver the e-mail received from them directly into inbox.
